Robin Bond speaks on "Positive Advocacy" on 4.10.18

On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, Robin Bond will speak on “Positive Advocacy:  How to Stand Up for Yourself and Ask for What You Want.”  The program is sponsored by the Main Line Newcomers' Club and will be held at the Ludington Library, 5 South Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA, starting a 7:00p.m.

Although many of us feel comfortable advocating for others as part of our jobs, it can be much more difficult to advocate for things that are important to our own career success.  We either fail to recognize opportunities to negotiate, or mistakenly associate negotiation with confrontation.  This session will discuss the art of “positive advocacy,” and provide you with some tools and techniques to more confidently solve problems in both formal and informal workplace situations.
